| Course |
Beverages |
| Ingredients |
2 kgs. red apples (about 12 medium sized)
Lemoneez
1 kg sugar
2 liters cold waters |
| Procedure |
Cut apples in large pieces into a saucepan. Add sugar and water and bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Turn heat to medium and boil gently until apples are completely broken up. Strain through a sieve lined with several layers of thin cloth or through a jelly bag (do not squeeze, or else apple water will be cloudy instead of clear pink). Measure apple water and add 3 to 5 ml of Lemoneez for each 250 ml (you will have about 2.5 liters of liquid, so you need to add 30 to 50 ml Lemoneez, depending on the apples). Pour into bottles. Pour over crushed ice to serve. |
